Don't Give Up

Purpose

Hi guys! Guess who’s back? (Bri) Kez asked me a month or so ago to write something for you guys, so over the past few weeks I kept asking the Lord to tell me what He wanted me to write on, and while serving on a Sunday night, He did! So here I am to tell anyone reading this, DON’T GIVE UP.

1. God Loves YOU

Let’s bring it back to the basics, do you know that God loves you? Have you had a revelation of the true love of God? The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The measure of something’s worth is always determined by the price that was paid for it and God loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die on the cross for you. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or what you could ever do, it wasn’t something you could ever earn either. The cross is the revelation of  your value to God! The first key in never giving up in life, is to truly know your value in the Lord. If you don’t know your own value, people will always try and tell you what they think you’re worth.

You must get a true revelation of the love of God for you. This revelation will change your life, it will empower you to fulfill the call of God in your life. But it has to be personal to you because what you choose to do with your life is your response to what He’s already done for you! God loves you, He chose you, He has anointed you, He has blessed you.. and He has CALLED you.

2. God Called You

The second key is to know that God has called you! The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” Regardless of what things may look like in the natural, regardless of your current circumstances or situations in life, God HAS called YOU for such a time as this.

I remember when I was 16 and on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic one of the pastors on the trip (Pastor Lauren) told me that I was called into the ministry and I remember thinking “that’s crazy, there's no way that’s possible.” I honestly thought I was going to be in the medical field my whole life even after that trip… but when I was 18 nothing was working out for college, I took two years off of school to travel on mission trips, study, and basically figure out what to do with my life. Fast forward, I ended up moving to Tampa, graduated from bible school, and now I work on full-time staff in the media department here. 6 years ago I could’ve never imagined myself here, I wouldn’t have ever considered myself “qualified” to do any of it. But thankfully for all of us, God doesn’t look at what man looks at, and instead He looks at the heart!

All He needs is for you to be a willing vessel and be pure of heart. 2 Timothy 2:21 says, “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.” And Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out it spring the issues of life.” Choose today to set yourself apart, to guard your heart from offense, to fill yourself up with the Word & make yourself a willing vessel that the Lord can use to impact many!

3. Don’t Give Up

You can’t give up! Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” And Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them”

God loves you, He has called you, and He has prepared you for it. There are people in the world that are attached to your destiny. People who are eagerly waiting and crying out for you to be obedient to the Lord. It’s time for you to take the step of faith and go for it! Make the decision today to fulfill the call of God for your life. Make the decision that no person, thing, circumstance, situation, or devil can talk you out of it. The only place the devil can try to take you out is in your mind, which is why you must renew your mind to the Word of God — you can’t give doubt or unbelief any room in your life.

If you’re reading this, be encouraged today & know that you’ve been called for such a time as this, and you are going to do everything the Lord has planned for you. It’s time to say goodbye to the fear of the future, to doubting that you’ll make it. It’s time now to truly know what the Word says about you & for you, and to walk in it confidently all the days of your life. Remember, you are a new creation in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17), you are the righteousness of Christ (2 Cor. 5:21), and you are God’s masterpiece (Eph. 2:10).

God loves you. He’s called you. And you are going to finish your race strong!
